The following is a complete summary of the data LovableEnglish collects, how each type of data is collected, and how it is used:
Account Information (optional)
Collected: Only when you voluntarily sign in with Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
What: A display name and anonymous account identifier provided by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your email address or password.
Used for: Identifying your account and syncing your learning progress across devices.
Shared with: Not shared with any third party.
Learning Progress
Collected: Automatically as you use the app (scores, streaks, lesson completions, game results, XP, and coins).
What: Your learning activity and achievement data.
Used for: Tracking your progress within the app and, if you sign in, syncing it across devices.
Shared with: Not shared with any third party.
Speech & Audio
Collected: When you use the speaking practice feature, your voice is captured by the device microphone.
What: Voice audio for pronunciation scoring and live transcription.
Used for: Real-time on-device pronunciation scoring and feedback only. Audio is never stored and is discarded immediately after processing.
Shared with: Not shared with any third party or external server. All processing is performed on-device using models shipped inside the app bundle.
Anonymous Analytics & Crash Data
Collected: Automatically via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (by Google).
What: Anonymous usage statistics, crash reports, and performance metrics. No personal information is included.
Used for: Improving the app, fixing bugs, and monitoring stability.

Advertising Data
Collected: By Google AdMob when ads are displayed.
What: Device type, OS version, and general location (country/region) for ad serving.

LovableEnglish does not collect, store, or share any data beyond what is listed above. We do not store any personal information on our servers.
All AI and machine learning features in LovableEnglish run entirely on your device using models and data shipped inside the app bundle. No AI models are downloaded during runtime. These features include:
Speech recognition — Powered by an on-device model bundled with the app and Apple's built-in Speech framework with on-device recognition enabled.
Pronunciation scoring — A custom local algorithm with no network dependency.
Grammar analysis — Uses Apple's built-in NaturalLanguage framework. Fully on-device.
In-app help chat — Powered by a rule-based natural language processing engine that uses keyword extraction and pattern matching against a locally stored knowledge base. No external API calls or cloud-based AI services are involved.
No speech, audio, text, or learning data is sent to any third-party AI service (such as OpenAI, Google AI, or any other external AI provider).
We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy. None of these services receive any speech, audio, or learning content data from our users:

LovableEnglish is designed for learners of all ages, including children. We do not collect any personal information from any user regardless of age. All learning progress is stored locally on your device and is never shared unless you choose to sign in for progress sync.
You can reset your local learning progress at any time from Settings. If you have signed in, you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from our servers using the "Delete Account" option in Settings > Data. We do not store any personal information on our servers.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to maintain accuracy and transparency. Changes will be reflected with an updated date.
